The launch of Nook Tablet is to give consumers the advanced features in the e book reader segment. The earlier product of the company, Nook Simple Touch the e book reader is liked by the consumers and became a hit however the company wanted some advancement so that the tablet works with magazines and children’s books.  Apart from an ebook reader Nook Color has large magazine selection, plays Flash video, and runs apps.  The popularity of Nook can be understood with the fact that it is the second most popular tablet after iPad in the market.
