Nokia, the Finnish Giant and Mobile Handset maker is all set to strengthen its position in the latest smart phone segment. Nokia has recently Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710. Lumia brand from Nokia is in partnership with Microsoft, the software giant.

Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710 from Nokia is going to announce the price shortly in the first week of December. Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710 devices will be made available in India by Nokia by mid-December.

The Lumia 800 is an innovative high-end device from Nokia that comes with 'Floating glass Display'. Lumia 800 has 8 megapixel camera and an attractive dual LED flash. Lumia 800 from Nokia is having a 16 GB internal user memory and 512 MB programme memory.
It is expected that the price of Lumia 800 from Nokia will be in the range of Rs 25000 to 30000. Internationally, Lumia 800 is priced at around $580

The Lumia 710, from Nokia comes with a 5MP camera and LED flash. Lumia 700 has 8GB storage capacity and offers 512 MB RAM. Lumia 700 with an exchangeable back covers is globally priced at $380. In India we can expect a price of Lumia 700 in the range between Rs 15000 to 20000.

Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710 from Nokia are both elegant touchscreen devices. Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710 from Nokia run on Windows Phone 7.5 - Mango operating System.

Nokia and Microsoft have announced a strategic partnership early in this year in to jointly create mobile products and services.

This move to launch Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710 from Nokia has come after the success of Apple and Samsung in the smartphone segment which are giving a tough competition to Nokia. The strategic move of Nokia to tie up with Microsoft came to tap this high end market of smart phones in India. Windows operating System from Microsoft in Nokia means phasing out its own Symbian operating system gradually.

To tackle the competition Nokia has introduced Nokia Drive and Nokia Music with MixRadio.

Nokia Drive is an innovative free turn-by-turn navigation application while Nokia Music with MixRadio is a free, global, mobile music-streaming application that delivers hundreds of channels of locally-relevant music.

The launch of Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710 from Nokia will also see a change in over 5,000 of Nokia's top retail outlets. The Nokia retail outlets selling Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710 will be given a make-over.

The outlet employees have been trained on Lumia 800 and the Lumia 710 from Nokia
